Walmart has optimized it’s VUDU video on demand service for the iPad. And you won’t get it in the App Store, you’ll have to use the web. That’s right, VUDU uses a web app to stream video right to your iPad.

Yet another application based on AirPlay technology has recently been released to Cydia for all jailbroken iPhones, iPods and iPads and is called AirServer. Once you download the app, you can stream content across various iOS devices and even directly from your computer to an iOS device. All you need is a Mac and itunes 10.2 or above and share the same WiFi network. Of course you need to jailbreak your iOS device and install AirServer first.

Stream AirPlay Videos To Linux PC With Totem Media Player Plugin! [How To Guide]

Totem, the default media player for Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Fedora and OpenSUSE can now support AirPlay video streaming, enabling users to receive and play video streamed to their Linux PC. This is achieved through an unofficial AirPlay plugin for Totem called “Totem-Plugin-Airplay“ which allows iOS devices to stream videos to Linux based systems for playback just as if it were an Apple TV. Setting it up is quite easy too.

Napster meets iOS with their own App

Coming back strong after the 1999 incident, Napster has launched its app for iPhone,iPod Touch and iPad. Allowing users to stream around 10 Million songs (that’s right, 10 million) for 10$ per month with offline listening, Napster is ready to take on Zune Pass.

Watch the Leonid Meteor Shower online

1As forecasted by NASA back in December 2008, there is expected to be a strong display of the Leonid meteor shower. Its predicted that there’ll be “20 to 30 meteors per hour over the Americas, and as many as 200 to 300 per hour over Asia” according to NASA. It is due to peak on 17th November 4a.m EST and could very well be one of the best Leonid showers in years.
