After looking at many 30 second teasers of HP slate people surely would have said “wow”. Well now Conecti.ca got some photos of HP slate and it really does not look like what we saw in the videos. I was expecting that after taking such a long time HP would launch something different from netbooks but these images show that HP slate is just like a netbook without a keyboard. Read more...

HP has launched the successor to one of its most popular consumer tablet PCs TouchSmart TX2z, model TM2. The new model has an updated Intel processor with built in Intel graphics for the basic specs. I recently bought an HP TouchSmart TX2z 1000 Tablet PC. It’s an ultraportable convertible tablet PC/notebook hybrid and supports multiple form factors which makes it very versatile. I got the model with Vista pre-installed, but did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 myself. As the routine goes, I took some unboxing pictures of the notebook. As expected, Microsoft has unveiled their new secret tablet via Gizmodo, and it has one up’d the mythical Apple tablet big time! Instead of taking a tablet like approach of a single screen, the Microsoft Courier uses two 7-inch screens that take both multi-finger touch input as well as recognize stylus writing and drawing. In the middle of the two screens in a hinge which houses a single button. On the back of the booklet is a camera, and according to Gizmodo, it might charge through induction. Read more...

Oh, and we’ve received something much, much bigger and juicier from Redmond as well. This is something more interesting to tablet fans, but is still in late prototype phases.
