New Videos of Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS for Tablets Leaked

Ever since the launch of T-Mobile’s G1 phone, Android has been sold like hotcakes. The Operating System has pretty much ruled the OS market along with iOS and as we speak it continues to grow further on cellular networks. Android 3.0 Honeycomb is the latest Android update mainly for tablets but it is yet to be seen as its release draws nearer and nearer. Having said that, T-Mobile and its freshly announced G-Slate tablet designed by LG leaked several videos that show off Google’s new tablet OS.

Flickr App for Windows 7 and Windows Phone 7 Coming Soon

This is a pleasant surprise for us Windows Phone 7 users. Flickr has announced an upcoming app for Windows 7 and Windows Phone 7 that easily puts the iPhone version and the non-existent iPad version to shame. It makes great use of panoramic UI, home screen tiles and the interactive UX of Windows Phone 7 which just can’t be matched by any other platform out there at the moment. We just hope the performance is on par with the native apps in Windows Phone 7.

Introducing BlackBerry PlayBook – BlackBerry’s Attempt at beating the iPad

Yesterday at BlackBerry’s Annual Developers Conference, Research in Motion CEO Mike Lazaridis announced the company’s new tablet — the PlayBook.

The tablet is set to run a new OS called QNX which offers full OpenGL and POSIX support alongside web standards such as HTML5. Lazaridis was joined on stage by the company’s founder, Dan Dodge, who said that “QNX is going to enable things that you have never seen before,” and added that the PlayBook would be “an incredible gaming platform for publishers and the players.” RIM also touted the PlayBook’s ability to handle Flash content via Flash 10.1, as well as Adobe AIR apps.

Dell set to launch their 7inch Tablet in coming weeks

Dell is set to join the tablet wars and compete against the devices like Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab. Dell’s Greater China President Amit Midha told The Wall Street Journal that the company plans to launch a new 7-inch tablet within the next few weeks. Apart from this device, they are also planning to launch a 10-inch tablet in about 6 to 12 months just like the current iPad.    

The First Official Hands On Video of Samsung Galaxy Tab Appears on YouTube

Samsung are preparing to release Galaxy Tab soon. It is expected to be a huge hit for Android and new tablet fans. It will cost around £599 and is considered to be the main competitor to the iPad. The Galaxy Tab has a 7” screen which is smaller than the iPad’s 9.7”. They both have a 1Ghz process but the Samsung Galaxy Tab has a 3.1MP back camera and a 1.3MP front camera so could this be the thing that gives the Galaxy Tab the edge? Will loyal Apple fans dump the iPad for the Galaxy Tab?

LG is working on a Tablet to compete against iPad and Galaxy Tab

After the launch of iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab seems to be the first tablet that would be able to hold a candle to the awesomeness that is Apple’s tablet. It might not sell like the iPad, but we believe it should be successful like Samsung Galaxy S. Nowadays, every big company is claiming that they are working on a tablet of their own. Today, Samsung’s competitor LG’s head of mobile Scott Ann revealed that they are working on their own tablet as well.

Samsung Galaxy Tab User Interface Previewed on Video

A few days ago, Samsung released a 30 second teaser video of their upcoming 7-inch Galaxy Tab which revealed some of its details. Although the tablet looked impressive in the teaser, nobody knew how the device would work with Android 2.2. Today, a Korean site shared a 3 minute video preview of the device. From the video we know that the device will have Android 2.2, WCDMA 3G, 802.11n WiFi, a 16:10 screen ratio, front-facing camera for video calling, SDHC memory expandability and a DMB tuner. This video shows the working user interface of the device and it looks really great as the device was working smoothly.
