Cydia was recently updated to introduce a handy Manage Account feature to keep track of all your Cydia app purchases in one place. Just now, a revised Theme Center has been launched which lists all of Cydia’s Winterboard themes categorized as HD and SD by various featured artists in an organized fashion. You can now browse themes which are exclusively for Retina display (iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G) or view only the non-Retina themes. Although there’s a slight problem. It’s only available in Polish language since that’s the theme creator’s native language. If you remember correctly, we had covered this theme earlier when it was just a work in progress. This theme is a must have for all those who love Windows Phone 7 but use an iPhone, because lets face it, it’s just so much better. Jokes aside, this theme looks really good and provides an almost exact replica of the experience you’ll get on a Windows 7 Phone home screen sans the animations. ObsessionXYZ over at ModMyi forums seems to be very impressed with the TouchFlo3D UI. So much that, he’s working on creating a theme for the iPhone which faithfully recreates the animated and rich user experience that the UI offers. To accomplish this feat, he has gone to great extents such as rewriting a lot of code. So far he has been able to create the animated clock and weather widget with tap to update capability. I always used to search for a Windows Mobile 6.5 theme for my iPod Touch, but never found one. I don’t know why but I guess designers don’t like that user interface so bringing it to the iPhone never appealed them. It’s the other way around with Windows Phone 7 Series though – months before its release, themes are being made for all other platforms such as Windows 7 and now the iPhone. Whitoken theme for iPod Touch by 6MIK has been released as a beta. As expected I installed it ASAP, and it looks just amazing! Apart from the icons issue, which will, hopefully, all be converted to the whitoken design, it works and looks just as shown above! 6mik-design from Deviant Art is creating Whitoken which can be simply described as the best looking theme for the iPod Touch or the iPhone. Right now he’s got the mock up ready and is expected to release it later today for the iPod Touch while the iPhone version will follow soon. That’s not all, he’s got another theme iaqua underway.
