Twitter has officially purchased Tweetie, the famous twitter client for the Mac and iPhone/iPod Touch. And the good news is, the twitter client will now be free for both iPhone and Mac.

You can’t deny the fact that Google Buzz caught everyone’s attention. It has strong features, and it’s integrated with Gmail which is convenient for some, but not for others. If you are like the many others, you’ve suddenly found yourself using your Gmail account more and more then you ever did. But, using Buzz and Gmail, takes time from Twitter and Facebook. Now, I wouldn’t like that, neither would you, right?

If you have a BlackBerry, and like Twitter, you might have been jealous from your friends with other platforms having good looking twitter clients. Sure UberTwitter changed a lot when it was introduced, but even that has something missing.

We can’t deny the fact that Twitter is growing everyday. Twitter is now attached to our everyday life. That’s why it isn’t limited just to the desktop, it’s also on everyone’s phones now. You can access it via your data connection ( use the the mobile website ), or just download a twitter client. One of the most popular smartphones, BlackBerry, also has many twitter clients. The top two are Seesmic, and UberTwitter. I wanted to add OpenBeak to the list, but it’s just horrible. Let’s have a look at the two apps and how they compete with each other in terms of various features.

epicenter IO is the latest in Twitter clients in the App Store. It provides full support for basic Twitter functionality as well Twitter Lists, new style retweets and the likes. The design of epicenter IO is very neat and puts every feature in quick reach right in the main UI. There’s also a level of customization available with drag and drop rearranging similar to what is available in the default iPhone apps. Two different themes are also included to further personalize the UI to your liking.

Share your Bing searches on Facebook and Twitter with Bing and Ping

Bing is gradually becoming my favorite search engine. Why? Because they’re working really hard on the search results and the improvements is really evident if you use it daily like me. I haven’t stopped using Google either, so it helps me in comparing the search results for both engines. Google isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. But Bing isn’t either. It’s here to stay! The newest upcoming Bing feature ‘Bing and Ping’ shows how hard the Bing Team is working.

Microsoft OneApp – hands on demo video

Microsoft OneApp is a new application that will allow feature phones ( phones which are not classified as smart phones ) to access web services and applications such as Windows Live Messenger, Twitter, Facebook and the likes. It is being launched by Microsoft Unlimited Potential program for developing countries where not everyone can buy an iPhone or a Blackberry. To start with, it’ll launch in South Africa for users of Blue Label Telecoms as part of their service called ‘mibli’.
