When Apple released the first beta for iOS 5 to developers, the wireless syncing feature was disabled by default. However with iOS 5 beta 2, it is now possible to sync your iPhone, iPod or iPad with iTunes over your Wi-Fi network connection, without requiring any USB cable. Before this, there have been jailbreak solutions which allowed iTunes syncing over Wi-Fi. But now, this is a part of iOS 5 and trust me, it works flawlessly! Read more...

A brand new jailbreak tweak knows as WiFi Booster, has just hit the Cydia store which virtually boosts your iPhone’s WiFi signal. Well, to be more precise, the tweak actually makes a few changes to the Settings app allowing it to show all WiFi networks in range even those with the poorest signal. This is achieved by reducing the signal threshold at which WiFi hotspots are shown as “available” in the iOS Settings. WiFi Booster removes this threshold and thus shows us even the most far away WiFI networks, which frankly speaking, isn’t of much use. Read more...

AT&T enabled the Personal Hotspot feature for developers a couple of weeks back to test the feature on beta releases of iOS 4.3, as the feature has already been showcased on the Verizon CDMA iPhone 4 on its launch. Now with the public release of iOS 4.3 which is scheduled for March 11, the same day when iPad 2 will be launched, AT&T will be enabling the Mobile Hotspot to all its customers. It turns out however, the feature allows only 3 Wifi devices to simultaneously connect to the Personal Hotspot as opposed to the previously announced 5 devices support. Read more...

If you have never heard of WiFi Sync before, it’s a little tweak available from Cydia(for $9.99) that allows you to sync your iPod, iPad or iPhone to iTunes without having to use the USB cable. The app is quick and reliable and many have been waiting for Apple to allow it officially in iTunes but they haven’t. Fortunately its available in the Cydia Store right now for all jailbreakers.

This should be huge for Apple. iPad will be officially launching in China on September 17th, in WiFi flavor only though. iPad was launched a few months ago and has captured a lot of market despite having launched in only a few countries so far. The step into China should increase their market share[1. The market currently belongs to them only. We don’t see any real competitors in the wild.] tremendously. Read more...

The iPod touch can be used to make voice calls with apps like Nimbuzz or Skype in iOS 4 over Wifi. But iPod touch does not have a 3G service like iPhone to make calls from anywhere you want. You will be able to turn iPod touch into an iPhone with the Apple Peel 520 by Yosion which is an adapter powered by an Infineon chip that allows you to place voice calls and send text message. If you think that’s cool then check this out: recent FCC documents has revealed that Sprint have registered a new device that looks like an iPod touch case. It means that Sprint may have a way to use Apple’s WiFi only iPod touch on its network. Read more...

Apple has posted a new ad for iPhone 4 in which they are focusing on FaceTime video chat features. This ad is set to ‘’When You Smiling’ a song by Larry Shay, Mark Fisher, and Joe Goodwin which was made famous by Louis Armstrong. The ad pretty much has the snaps of the Facetime video which was shown at WWDC10. It spreads the idea of using Facetime for sharing special moments of your life with your family. The ad is good just like all other Apple ads. Check it out after the break. Read more...
