As expected eagerly ( LiveSide have been covering the new icons and expected features constantly), Windows Live Essentials 2011 Beta Refresh is now available for download. Along with the new icons, there are many bug fixes in this release as well as Windows Live Language Setting with many language packs.

After a long wait, and a few leaked builds, Microsoft has finally released the public beta of Windows Live Essentials Wave 4. Windows Live Essentials is a collection of free apps that improve the functionality of Windows with apps such as Photo Gallery, Mail, Messenger, Movie Maker, Writer and much more. Livebeta.net has posted some new screenshots of the latest build of Windows Live Essentials 2010 Milestone beta 3. One of the screenshot shows that the build version is 15.3.2688.420, it was complied on April 20, 2010 and its total size is 188MB. Another bit of information we have is that within the next week, invitations will be sent out to limited number of testers on Microsoft Connect.

Windows Live Wave 4 Beta setup was leaked a while back. It packs a whole new set of features but the interface is not that appealing, maybe because it’s not even in a beta stage right now. We really hope the final product is a lot like something which would perfectly blend into a Windows 7 style user interface.

The new Windows Live Essentials Beta applications are available for download now at http://download.live.com/. They have been updated to match the Windows 7 UI. Windows Live Messenger now has jump lists and new status icons in the superbar in Windows 7. The new sign in UI looks superb as well. Most other features have carried on from the last beta.
