Twitter has released a new app called Twitter Dashboard, which is designed to facilitate connectivity between businesses and their customers/community. The dashboard serves as a single stop solution for business owners to manage their Twitter accounts and stay abreast with all activity regarding them on the social network. Keeping the constraints of availability of time and resources in mind, Dashboard improves your Twitter experience by scheduling Tweets, providing information on people’s views on your businesses and tracking your Tweet’s performance.
Dashboard has interactive features which enable users to accomplish multiple tasks conveniently.
- Custom Feed: Through the creation of a ‘custom feed’, users can view their preferred tweets and respond to followers in a better way. Regardless of the nature of business, custom feed bridges the communication gap and facilitates easy interaction with audiences.
- Tweet Tips: For your moments of tweet block (when you can’t think of anything to tweet), Twitter has introduced ‘tweet tips’ which are general suggestions to trigger your thought process. For example, if you are a designer, a tweet tip make appear, “fashion is ever changing. Tweet your predictions of trends in the coming season.” Or if you own a pastry shop, you might get a tweet tip like “Smile is contagious. Like or retweet comments of happy customers.” The purpose behind Tweet tips is to make you an active user and make your presence felt on Twitter.
- Schedule Tweets: If you are busy and do not have the opportunity to be online at the same as your customer/ follower for a response, you can now schedule your tweets to be delivered to your followers when they are online and you are offline. And via iOS Dashboard app, you can also edit your scheduled tweets.
Twitter Dashboard has received encouraging reviews from business owners who call it an “essential tool” to engage with current and potential customers. Some of them also plan to incorporate it into their marketing strategy.
Twitter Dashboard app is in beta at the moment and is only available to US-based businesses. You can download it either from the App store or use it from the desktop browser version: dashboard.twitter.com.
