The iPhone has become so popular, that many cellphone buyers are making it their default choice. Its App Store is what attracts most users. It has a wide range of applications. But because the iPhone has some restrictions, many users want to jailbreak it, just to access some cool new features. Heck, some people buy the iPhone just because it can be jailbroken.

Jailbreaking your iPhone means you can install 3rd party applications on it. You can get themes, tweaks, extra preferences and unleash the iPhone that should have been all along. Jailbreaking isn’t the same as unlocking. Unlocking your iPhone means it can accept all carriers.

You can find a lot of jailbreaking tools online, different versions for different iPhone OS’. You’ll need to pick the version that works with your iPhone’s OS. But sometimes the unexperienced users have difficulties finding their iPhone’s technical specifications. F0recast helps them with that. It’s available for Windows only.

The application was developed by iH8sn0w, the same person who developed Sn0wbreeze which lets Windows users create custom firmware for their devices.

Forecast displays your device’s serial number, baseband version, bootloader version information and model number. It will tell you if you are eligible for an unlock and which tool to use for the unlock (Ultrasn0w or blacksn0w). It will also inform the users, prior to jailbreaking their device, if it will be tethered or not.
