Windows 7 + IE8/Google Chrome = Best browser security

When it comes to Flash, some people like it  because they can play flash-only games. However, some hate it because of performance issues, especially on Mac, not to mention its absence on the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch.

When it comes to browser security, Charlie Miller says it’s all related to Flash. Miller, who won the Pwn2Own contest two years running, was interviewed by OneITSecurity. They asked him what browser and OS combination he thought was the safest. His reply will not please Mac users, he suggests Windows 7 with either Internet Explorer 8 or Google Chrome, saying “there probably isn’t enough difference between the browsers to get worked up about.” But what’s more important is this quote: “The main thing is not to install Flash!”

The guy that’s seems to be the best in the world at breaking into your web browser tells you that you shouldn’t install Flash. You can install ClickToFlash which is free, and tells Flash when to load. This should be a way to secure your browsing experience.
