Apple has announced that NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition will launch on October 16 exclusively on Apple Arcade. The latest entry in the basketball franchise brings enhanced modes, a new historical focus, and support across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, all included within the subscription service without ads or in-app purchases.
According to Apple’s newsroom announcement, NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition introduces the all-new NBA Eras mode, letting players relive basketball across different decades with era-specific visuals, rules, and gameplay details. This feature gives fans the chance to experience legendary teams and players in their original context, while still enjoying the excitement of the modern NBA.
Returning features include MyCAREER, where users can customize and develop their athlete from rookie to superstar, and Association Mode, which allows players to step into the role of general manager and head coach, controlling trades, draft picks, and lineup strategies. Quick Match and online multiplayer are also available for those who want fast-paced sessions against friends or global competitors.
In addition to the flagship release, Apple Arcade is expanding its lineup with new family-friendly games arriving earlier in October. On October 2, subscribers can look forward to Thomas & Friends: Let’s Roll+, Dominoes: Classic Tile Game+, and Piffle+. Each title brings a different flavor to the service, ranging from puzzle-based gameplay to casual entertainment for all ages.
Fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate will also get a major update on September 30, which adds new challenges and content to one of Apple Arcade’s most popular action-adventure titles.
