Apple has expanded its Made for iPhone hearing device compatibility list with 43 new models from 22 brands. The update brings the total number of supported hearing devices to 623 models across 104 brands, giving users more options for streaming audio from Apple devices.
The update also adds several new brands to Apple’s compatibility database and expands support for bidirectional audio streaming. Apple has additionally added the MacBook Neo to the system requirements for compatible hearing devices, with support starting in macOS Tahoe 26.
Apple Adds 43 Hearing Devices To Its MFi List
Apple’s Made for iPhone program allows compatible hearing devices to connect with Apple hardware for features such as audio streaming. Depending on the hearing device, streaming can work in one direction or both directions.
Bidirectional streaming allows users to stream audio while also using the hearing device’s microphones for hands-free conversations. This can make phone and video calls more convenient without requiring the user to switch to another audio device.
The latest update adds 43 models across a wide range of manufacturers. Several of the newly supported devices use bidirectional streaming, marked with an asterisk in Apple’s compatibility list.

Four brands are also new to Apple’s MFi hearing device list: Bellson, MicroSom, Panasonic, RION, and Yeasound.
Apple has also updated some existing entries to indicate support for bidirectional streaming. The affected models include Bernafon’s Entra A X, Pro Akustik’s Ineo A X, and SoniTon’s Ineo A X.
MacBook Neo Gets MFi Hearing Device Support
The update isn’t limited to the number of compatible hearing devices. Apple has also expanded the list of supported hardware by adding the MacBook Neo.
The MacBook Neo now appears in Apple’s system requirements for both unidirectional and bidirectional hearing device streaming. Support begins with macOS Tahoe 26.
That means compatible hearing devices can be used with a broader range of Apple hardware, depending on the specific model and streaming capabilities. Apple’s MFi system requirements can differ between devices, so users should check their specific hearing device before assuming every feature is supported.
