Apple is gearing up for a series of major product announcements, with the long-awaited iPhone SE 4, the M4 MacBook Air, and an international expansion of the Vision Pro all expected in the coming weeks.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has scheduled multiple briefings and press outreach efforts, confirming that new hardware is imminent. The iPhone SE 4, which was initially expected to be announced this week, now appears to be pushed back slightly, with its unveiling likely happening next week. Meanwhile, a smaller announcement is planned for tomorrow, and Apple Vision Pro representatives are reaching out to the press about an announcement set for Friday. The highly anticipated M4 MacBook Air is also expected to launch within weeks.
iPhone SE 4
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be Apple’s most significant update to the SE lineup since its inception. Unlike previous models that retained older designs, the fourth-generation iPhone SE is expected to adopt a modernized look, similar to the iPhone 14, featuring a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, and a USB-C port. This marks a major shift from the traditional home-button design that defined the SE series.
One of the most anticipated upgrades is Apple’s move toward an in-house 5G modem, which has reportedly been in development for several years. This transition could help Apple reduce its reliance on Qualcomm while optimizing modem performance for future devices. However, it is also one of the reasons for the device’s prolonged development. Gurman’s latest update confirms that the device is still on track for a spring launch, with an official announcement expected next week.
M4 MacBook Air
Apple is preparing to introduce the M4 MacBook Air in the near future, bringing improved AI performance, greater efficiency, and better battery life. Gurman’s update suggests that its launch is only weeks away, reinforcing speculation that Apple may hold a dedicated announcement event or press release soon.
Vision Pro
Apple had initially planned to expand Vision Pro sales internationally by mid-2024, but supply chain challenges have reportedly led to a minor delay. The rollout remains on track for later in the year, with key markets such as Europe and China expected to be among the first to receive the device outside the U.S. In the meantime, Apple is preparing software enhancements that could be previewed at WWDC 2025.
