Beats has teamed up with Kiko Kostadinov for a limited edition Beats Pill that blends cultural design with modern audio performance. This version takes the portable speaker’s 2024 redesign and wraps it in Kostadinov’s signature “Kiko gray” finish with a custom grille inspired by Thracian craftsmanship. A braided lanyard, modeled after traditional Bulgarian ceremonial threads, turns the Pill into something you can wear or carry with ease.
The braided lanyard is more than an accessory, it echoes traditional ceremonial threads used as protective talismans in Bulgaria. In Kostadinov’s own words, it reflects the juxtaposition between the modern and the ancient, an aesthetic contrast he embraces in his vision.
The limited-edition Kiko Kostadinov Beats Pill is a thoughtful fusion of modern design and historical influence. For this collaboration, we looked to the ornate geometry found in ancient iconography, reinterpreting those motifs for the speaker’s custom grill. These shapes, rooted in the visual language of Thracian craftsmanship, speak to a history where pattern and meaning were closely intertwined. The speaker is finished in our signature “Kiko gray,” a cool, neutral tone that adds a subtle, utilitarian edge. The braided lanyard acts as a subtle talisman—echoing the protective charms and ceremonial threads found in Bulgarian folk tradition, where color and craft carry meaning across generations.
Beneath the stylized exterior lies the 2024 Beats Pill’s upgraded hardware. It features a bespoke racetrack woofer for deep bass, an updated tweeter for crisp highs and mids, USB-C audio with high-resolution support, up to 24 hours of battery life, Fast Fuel charging that delivers 2 hours of playback in just 10 minutes, Class 1 Bluetooth, Find My integration, and two listening modes, Amplify and Stereo, allowing immersive pairing and left-right output.
Spanish rapper BB Trickz fronts the campaign, bringing her style and energy to the launch visuals. Her presence aligns with the speaker’s mix of cultural design and modern audio performance, reinforcing the limited edition’s crossover appeal to both music and fashion audiences.
The limited edition launches on August 15, 2025. It will be available online at Kiko Kostadinov’s website, and in-store at his Los Angeles and Tokyo flagships, going on sale at 10 a.m. BST, which is 5 a.m. ET.
