Google expands AI-first ecosystem with Pixel 10 series, Watch 4, Buds 2a, and accessories

Google has announced a wide range of new products including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Buds 2a, and new accessories. This lineup highlights Google’s strategy of making artificial intelligence the centerpiece of its ecosystem while improving hardware durability, convenience, and performance.

The Pixel 10 series focuses on improved performance and camera capabilities, the new Pixel Fold sets new durability standards for foldables, and Google’s wearables and accessories show steady progress toward a more seamless user experience. Together, these updates bring Google closer to the level of polish and integration that has traditionally been Apple’s strength.

Pixel 10 series with Tensor G5

The Pixel 10 family includes the standard model alongside Pro and Pro XL versions. All are powered by the Tensor G5 chip, designed for on-device AI performance. Magic Cue provides contextual prompts in conversations, Camera Coach helps users capture better photos, and Super Res Zoom enhances detail with up to 100x magnification on the Pro models.

The base Pixel 10 introduces a triple-camera system, improved display brightness, and faster charging speeds. The Pro and XL models build on this with larger batteries, upgraded displays, and bundled Gemini Pro access. Every model in the lineup now supports Qi2-based Pixelsnap magnetic charging and promises up to seven years of software and security updates.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold introduces durability upgrades

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold represents Google’s most advanced foldable yet. It is the first foldable with an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, paired with a redesigned hinge for smoother folding and long-term reliability. The outer screen has been expanded to 6.4 inches with peak brightness of 3,000 nits, while the inner 8-inch AMOLED panel has slimmer bezels for an improved viewing experience.

Inside, the Fold is equipped with up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, Wi-Fi 7, and a 5,015 mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. The camera array includes a 48MP wide sensor, 10.5MP ultrawide, and 10.8MP telephoto with 10x zoom. AI features such as real-time call translation, contextual writing prompts, and advanced multitasking highlight Google’s focus on productivity and intelligence.

Pixel Buds 2a as a budget-friendly option

Pixel Buds 2a bring premium features to a more affordable price point. They include active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and audio powered by the Tensor A1 chip. Gemini AI adds contextual audio features, while the earbuds come in a redesigned, more repairable charging case with a replaceable battery. New accessories powered by Pixelsnap

Google also introduced a line of accessories designed around its Pixelsnap magnetic charging system. These include a Snap case, a magnetic charging ring, a stand, and a dual-port 67W fast charger. The addition of magnetic alignment to Pixel hardware mirrors the simplicity of Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem, allowing users to attach and charge devices more easily.

AI as the driving force across hardware

Across every product, AI is the consistent theme. Tensor G5 enables new capabilities like Magic Cue for smarter conversations, Camera Coach for photography, and AI-driven health analysis. These features parallel Apple’s push with Apple Intelligence, showing how both companies are embedding intelligence at the core of their ecosystems.

The Pixel 10 series, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a will begin shipping later this fall, with pre-orders already open in select markets. Pricing varies by region, with the Pixel 10 starting as Google’s most accessible flagship, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold sits at the premium end with its larger screen, storage options, and durability features. Accessories built for the Pixelsnap ecosystem will launch alongside the devices. Together, the lineup reflects Google’s strategy of offering a full hardware ecosystem with options at every price tier, directly competing with Apple’s tiered approach to iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch.
