Apple’s Beats brand is getting ready to launch new color options across its most popular headphones and earbuds. References found in Apple’s code suggest that Beats Studio Pro, Beats Solo 4, and Beats Solo Buds will all gain fresh finishes, and the announcement could arrive as soon as Apple’s September 9 event alongside the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro models.
Beats hardware has always carried a strong lifestyle and fashion edge, and Apple has consistently refreshed its headphones with seasonal or limited edition colors. This latest update looks to expand on that strategy by offering more variety, with some shades already known internally under different identifiers.
The Beats Studio Pro, currently priced at $350 and available in Navy, Black, Sandstone, and Brown, is said to be gaining Dark Slate and Pink. These shades may be the same as the unreleased Sand Gray and Soft Pink options mentioned in earlier leaks, showing Apple’s tendency to label colors differently during development.
The Beats Solo 4, priced at $200, are set to add Rose Gold and Champagne Gold to their current lineup of Matte Black, Slate Blue, and Cloud Pink.
Earlier this month, Beats also teamed up with BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim on a limited edition Ruby Red Solo 4, complete with matching bows and case details. That collaboration, priced the same as the regular model, highlights Apple’s push to blend pop culture with its hardware, and the new metallic options could be seen as a continuation of that strategy.
For the more affordable Beats Solo Buds, which sell for $80, a new color called Icing is expected to join the existing Black, Storm Gray, Arctic Purple, and Transparent Red. The Icing option appears to be a cream or beige finish, offering a softer alternative to the current bold tones.
Apple has been known to reveal new Beats finishes quietly or alongside larger product events, making it possible that these colors will debut at the upcoming “Awe Dropping” event on September 9. Whether or not they appear on stage, the expanded range highlights Apple’s push to keep Beats fresh and aligned with its broader design and branding trends.
