Apple’s September keynote focused heavily on the iPhone 17 lineup and the new iPhone Air, but the company still has a packed roadmap for the rest of 2025 and into the first half of 2026. Customers can expect updates to iPads, Macs, AirTags, and even a new smart home product that will expand Apple’s hardware ecosystem.
According to Bloomberg, the upcoming lineup will showcase Apple’s strategy of pairing hardware refreshes with the rollout of Apple Intelligence and next-generation silicon. From M5-powered devices to a redesigned Vision Pro and new accessories, Apple is aiming to keep its product range competitive across multiple categories.
iPad Pro with M5 chip
The next iPad Pro is slated to launch as early as October 2025 and will be among the first devices powered by Apple’s M5 chip. Beyond improved performance, the iPad Pro will reportedly reintroduce a portrait-oriented selfie camera in addition to the existing landscape one, making video calls more natural whether the tablet is used vertically or horizontally.
Updated Vision Pro
Apple’s mixed reality headset will also see an update. While this will not be a full “Vision Pro 2,” Bloomberg notes the revision will bring a faster processor and a redesigned headband for better comfort. Apple is already planning a more significant follow-up for 2027 that will be thinner and lighter, addressing one of the most common concerns about the first-generation model.
AirTag 2
Apple is preparing to launch the second generation of its item tracker. AirTag 2 will improve range and accuracy thanks to a new wireless chip. This follows growing competition from Samsung’s SmartTag series and other location-tracking accessories. Enhanced findability should make AirTag 2 a more reliable tool for everyday use.
Apple TV with N1 chip
The next Apple TV will debut with a faster processor and new wireless technology based on the N1 chip introduced in the iPhone Air. This upgrade will support Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and the Thread networking protocol, ensuring smoother smart home integration. The device will also add support for the new Siri and Apple Intelligence features coming in 2026.
HomePod mini refresh
Apple is working on a refreshed HomePod mini with a faster chip and updated color options. Like the new Apple TV, the updated speaker will support the upcoming Siri voice assistant, positioning it as a central hub for smart home control.
MacBook Pro with M5
Apple is preparing new MacBook Pro models powered by the M5 chip. According to Bloomberg, the MacBook Pro may arrive in early 2026 rather than late 2025. Apple has occasionally shifted MacBook Pro launches to the first quarter, including in 2023, so this would not be unprecedented.
MacBook Air with M5
The MacBook Air is also scheduled to receive the M5 chip in the first quarter of 2026. This update continues Apple’s pattern of refreshing its slimmest notebook early in the year, ensuring the MacBook Air remains aligned with Apple’s latest silicon advancements.
Studio Display & Pro Display XDR
Apple is working on two new Mac external monitors, with at least one model expected by early 2026. The company has not refreshed its monitor lineup since the Studio Display in 2022 and the Pro Display XDR in 2019, so new options are overdue. These releases would give Mac users more display choices to complement desktop setups.
iPhone 17e
Apple is planning a follow-up to the iPhone 16e, with the iPhone 17e scheduled for the first half of 2026. The device will reportedly include the same A19 chip as the flagship iPhone 17, giving Apple’s entry-level line stronger performance at a lower price point. This move continues Apple’s strategy of broadening the iPhone portfolio while keeping older technologies available at reduced cost.
Smart home hub
One of the most notable additions to Apple’s roadmap is a new smart home hub, which will mark Apple’s first major product category expansion in years. Originally targeted for release in early 2025, the hub is now expected in spring 2026. It will launch with the next-generation Siri and tighter integration with Apple Intelligence, placing it at the center of the company’s connected home vision.
