Logitech MX Master 4 released with haptic feedback, improved connectivity

Logitech has launched the MX Master 4, the latest entry in its premium productivity mouse lineup. Known for combining comfort, precision, and advanced customization, the new model introduces haptic feedback, a redesigned workflow overlay, and stronger connectivity. It is aimed at professionals and creators who need a mouse that can adapt to multiple devices and demanding apps.

One of the standout innovations is customizable haptic feedback. Users can assign tactile responses to specific actions, shortcuts, and notifications, making it easier to work by feel instead of relying only on visual cues. This feature integrates with Logitech Options+ software and supports key applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Desktop, and Zoom, with Premiere Pro support arriving in October.

The MX Master 4 also introduces the new Actions Ring, a digital overlay that gives access to app-specific shortcuts directly on screen. Logitech claims that using the Actions Ring can save up to 33% of workflow time while reducing repetitive mouse movements by 63%, a boost for anyone working in design, editing, or complex multitasking environments.

Performance has been improved with what Logitech calls “2X stronger connectivity.” A high-performance chip, optimized antenna placement, and a new USB-C dongle deliver more reliable wireless performance. Alongside Bluetooth Low Energy support and multi-device pairing for up to three devices, the MX Master 4 makes switching between platforms seamless.

Scrolling is handled by the MagSpeed wheel, capable of moving through 1,000 lines per second while still stopping precisely on a single pixel. The 8,000 DPI Darkfield sensor allows tracking on almost any surface, even glass, making it adaptable to different work setups.

Comfort and noise reduction are also part of the design refresh. The ergonomic shape keeps the hand at a natural tilt, while intuitive button placement and a dedicated thumb wheel reduce strain during long sessions. Quiet clicks cut noise by up to 90%, making the mouse less distracting in shared or focused workspaces.

Battery life is rated at 70 days on a single charge, powered by a 650 mAh rechargeable battery. With USB-C quick charging, a one-minute charge provides up to three hours of use, ensuring minimal downtime.

Sustainability is another highlight. The MX Master 4 features a low-carbon aluminum thumb wheel and a battery that uses 100% recycled cobalt. Its plastic components are made with 54% recycled material for Graphite, Black, and Space Black finishes, and 48% for Pale Grey and White Silver. A dedicated Mac version is available in Space Black and White Silver to match Apple setups.
