Apple Music is now available in Albania, Brunei, Burkina Faso, and Pakistan. The four launches come more than 11 years after the service first went live in over 100 countries in June 2015.
Apple’s Media Services availability page, updated today, now lists Apple Music for all four countries. iPhone users there can subscribe and stream from the Music app.
Each of the Four Countries Gets a Different Mix of Apple Services
Apple’s page gives every country its own list of services, and Apple Music sits next to a different set of extras in each one.
- Albania gets Apple Music but no iTunes Store music purchases. Apple Arcade and the Apple TV subscription carry a note pointing to iCloud+.
- Brunei gets Apple Music and iTunes Store music purchases. Apple Arcade is available directly, and the Apple TV app lists movie purchases only.
- Burkina Faso gets Apple Music and iTunes Store music purchases. Apple Arcade and the Apple TV subscription carry the same iCloud+ note as Albania.
- Pakistan gets Apple Music but no iTunes Store music purchases. Apple Podcasts is limited to free podcasts, and Apple Arcade and the Apple TV subscription are tied to iCloud+.
Apple Music Classical has no listing in any of the four countries. Apple’s page shows it under most other countries that carry Apple Music.
The iCloud+ note on Apple Arcade and the Apple TV subscription says access might come with an iCloud+ plan. That matches the iCloud+ bundle Apple is rolling out across more than 100 countries, which folds both services into the storage subscription.
Pakistan Has Had Local Apple Music Pricing Since the iOS 27 Beta
The Pakistan launch follows weeks of groundwork. Apple Music plans priced in Pakistani rupees appeared in the iOS 27 beta in August, at Rs. 379 per month for an individual plan and Rs. 649 per month for a family plan. Users also reported successful payments with PayPak cards.
Android users in Pakistan could already use Apple Music, while iPhone users had no region-supported way to subscribe. India and Nepal, which border Pakistan, already appear on Apple’s list with Apple Music and Apple Music Classical.
Spotify has operated in Pakistan since 2021, so Apple Music arrives with an established rival in place.
PayPak references in iOS 27 beta 5 code also pointed to Apple Pay coming to Pakistan. Apple’s availability page does not list subscription prices for any of the four countries, so the beta figures are the only Pakistani rates reported so far.
