Notion Opens a TestFlight Beta for Its Native iOS Editor

Notion has started rolling out a native editor for its iOS app in beta. The test build is live on TestFlight, and Notion wants to know whether the editor feels faster and more reliable in day-to-day use.

Ji Pei, an engineer at Notion, announced the rollout on X. He shared the TestFlight link and pointed anyone without TestFlight to Notion’s mobile beta page. His ask to testers was simple: tell Notion if the editor is faster and more reliable in your own workflow.

The demo video in the post shows a daily page in the iOS app with a To-Dos checklist, a Notes & Projects list, and an Ask AI bar along the bottom. The post does not list specific changes, so speed and reliability are the only goals Notion has stated so far.

Notion’s Native iOS Editor Beta Is Open to the First 10,000 TestFlight Testers

Apple caps TestFlight beta sign-ups at 10,000 testers, and Notion’s help page says spots go on a first come, first served basis. The page also says beta users get bug fixes and updates much quicker than people on the standard apps.

Joining takes three steps:

  1. Install Apple’s TestFlight app if it is not already on your device.
  2. Open the Notion beta TestFlight link on that device and install the build.
  3. Open Notion Beta and use the editor on your regular pages.

To send feedback, take a screenshot in Notion Beta, tap Share at the top right, and choose Share Beta Feedback. You can also open TestFlight, tap Notion Beta, and pick Send Beta Feedback.

To leave the beta, open TestFlight, tap Notion Beta, scroll to the bottom, and tap Stop testing. Android users have their own route through the Join the beta section of Notion’s Google Play listing.

Installing the Notion Beta Replaces the Standard App on Your Device

If the regular Notion app is already installed, the beta replaces it. Notion’s page warns that beta apps can contain more bugs than its public products, and it asks anyone using Notion for a company workspace to check with their IT department first.

Notion has been busy on iOS this year. It released the standalone Agents app for iPhone in July, and this editor beta is a test of the main Notion app. Readers comparing note apps can also see our best Notion alternatives for iPhone in 2026.
