Apple launches ‘Shop with a Specialist over Video,’ to offer personalized iPhone shopping experience

Apple has recently launched a new shopping experience for its customers in the United States called “Shop with a Specialist over Video,” allowing them to connect with an Apple Specialist over a video call to receive help with shopping for iPhone models.

The new service was announced by the company on Tuesday, and is currently only available for purchasing iPhones, though it may expand to other product categories in the future.

To use “Shop with a Specialist over Video,” customers simply visit Apple’s online store and connect with an Apple Specialist for service and advice on choosing the best iPhone for their needs. They can compare features, colors, and sizes, and find the best deal through the Apple Trade-In program or their carrier.

The service is available daily in the US on Apple’s iPhone shopping webpage from 7 am to 7 pm PT by clicking the “Ask an iPhone Specialist” URL. During the session, an Apple team member will share their screen on camera, but they won’t be able to see the customer. If the session is not accessible or if customers try to access the page after business hours, they can still reach a Specialist 24 hours a day by phone or chat.

The online shopping experience is similar to the retail appointments that Apple launched in 2020. By booking a time slot within the Apple Store app, customers can browse a store with one-on-one help.
