Apple has released version 5.0 of Apple Music on Android, introducing three major features that transform how users experience the app. The update brings song and playlist pinning, lyric translation with pronunciation guides, and an improved Replay experience. It is rolling out now via Google Play after a period of beta testing.

This release focuses on giving Android users tools that were first introduced with iOS 26. By adding pins, translated lyrics, and rolling stats, Apple Music for Android is now more aligned with the iPhone version, while still keeping a familiar design that Android users recognize.
The highlight of Apple Music 5.0 is lyric translation with pronunciation support. Using machine learning and fine-tuning from language experts, the app translates lyrics into a user’s preferred language while preserving emotion and cultural context. The pronunciation tool shows how words are sung, making it easier to follow along with international tracks, especially popular genres like K-Pop.
Song pinning is another key addition. Users can now pin songs, albums, playlists, and artists directly to the top of the Library tab for instant access. Pins appear in a grid and sync across Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Long-press options allow quick unpinning or changing actions like jumping to an album, playing, or shuffling. Pinned items can also be set to auto-download for offline playback, though this can be turned off in Settings.
Replay has also been revamped. Instead of waiting for an annual summary, users can now view month-by-month listening stats directly in the app. This gives a more immediate look at streaming habits and makes year-end summaries more detailed and personal.
Design updates in Apple Music 5.0 are subtle. Controls such as shuffle, repeat, and autoplay have shifted from rectangular to pill-shaped buttons. The five-tab navigation bar remains unchanged, and Android users do not get the Liquid Glass interface introduced on iOS 26.
Apple Music on Android has often trailed behind its iOS version, but version 5.0 reduces that gap by focusing on the most practical and requested features. With lyric translation, pinning, and Replay stats, Android users now enjoy a richer and more consistent streaming experience that strengthens Apple’s position against Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music.
