Apple TV+ is jumping from $12.99 to $14.99 per month effective today, with annual pricing climbing from $99 to $119 per year. The Apple One Individual plan is now $21.95 per month, up from $19.95. Apple last increased the price of Apple TV in August 2025, raising it from $9.99 per month to $12.99 per month. This places Apple TV+ at parity with Netflix’s ad-free Standard tier.
The price increases apply to new subscribers immediately. Existing subscribers will receive notification roughly a month before the new price takes effect on their accounts. Apple also raised Apple TV pricing in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico today, but those remain the only additional countries affected. The Individual bundle now aligns with pricing adjustments made to Family and Premier tiers during July 2026.
Apple is anchoring these increases to expanded sports offerings now included at no additional cost to TV+ subscribers. The company secured exclusive Formula 1 broadcast rights in the US last October, with all F1 content streamed through the standard subscription. Earlier this year, Major League Soccer streaming was added. Apple TV subscribers also receive Friday Night Baseball, featuring two MLB matchups each Friday during the regular season.
Live sports, particularly recurring events like F1 races and weekly baseball games, demand continuous investment and justify premium pricing in ways that scripted content cannot. The playbook mirrors Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video, both of which anchor higher subscription fees with sports. For Apple, sports transforms TV+ from a prestige niche service into a broader entertainment utility.
Cumulative Price Increased 30% in 13 Months
Apple TV has increased 30 percent in price since August 2025, from $9.99 to $14.99 monthly. The service launched at $4.99 per month in 2019 and has seen four price increases: $6.99 in 2022, $9.99 in 2023, $12.99 in 2025, and today’s jump to $14.99. At $14.99, Apple TV+ now undercuts only Netflix Premium at $22.99 per month.
For households maintaining Apple TV+, Netflix, Disney+, and one additional platform, monthly bills now exceed $60, pushing total annual spending above $700 before music, gaming, or storage subscriptions are added.
Apple One Individual Closes the Pricing Gap
The Individual plan’s adjustment to $21.95 brings it into alignment with Apple’s bundling strategy. When Apple raised Apple Music prices in July 2026, it increased Family and Premier but held Individual at $19.95 for one month. Today’s move changes this.
The Individual plan bundles Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade. As standalone prices climb, the bundle math tightens. A user paying separately for Apple Music ($11.99) and Apple TV+ ($14.99) spends $26.98 monthly, making Individual at $21.95 a genuine savings. That equation holds only for regular users of both services while selective consumers face harder trade-offs.
