iPadOS 26.1 to bring Apple Vision Pro app to iPad for the first time

Apple is getting ready to launch iPadOS 26.1, and it will finally bring the Apple Vision Pro app to iPad. The app first arrived on iPhone with iOS 18.4 in April, and its upcoming release on iPad will complete Apple’s vision for a unified setup and management experience across devices.

Apple Vision Pro app for iPad

The Apple Vision Pro app lets users queue apps and games to download, discover new spatial experiences, find helpful tips, and check key device information. With iPad support, Apple is giving users a larger screen to control their Vision Pro headset, making it easier to plan, browse, and multitask.

The app features a Discover page with curated recommendations for new and trending spatial experiences. According to Apple, it helps users find standout titles they might miss while scrolling through busy storefronts. There’s also a My Vision Pro page that brings together everything users need at a glance, including their visionOS version, serial number, and settings for Personalized Spatial Audio.

Personalized Spatial Audio setup will be smoother on the iPad’s larger display, allowing users to take measurements and confirm results more comfortably. For creators and students, the ability to manage downloads, browse discovery lists, or view usage tips right beside notes or project boards adds extra convenience to daily work and study.

Apple recently introduced new Vision Pro and iPad Pro models powered by the M5 chip, signaling a deeper connection between both devices. This hardware pairing points to stronger performance, better efficiency, and a tighter link between iPadOS and visionOS for the future of spatial computing.

iPadOS 26.1 is expected to roll out by late October or early November. The update will officially bring the Apple Vision Pro app to iPad, expanding the headset’s management and discovery experience beyond iPhone for the first time.
