iPhone 15 Pro Max delivers longer battery life than Galaxy S23 Ultra

Although the Galaxy S23 Ultra features a bigger battery than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, it does not deliver longer battery life. Tom’s Guide and YouTuber @PhoneBuff ran battery tests of both smartphones and found that the 15 Pro Max lasts longer than its competitor.

For the test, PhoneBuff calibrated both smartphones to 200 nits with auto-brightness disabled and ran apps for web browsing, audio and video streaming, social media, games, and more. And battery test by Tom’s Guide involved continuous web surfing at 150 nits of brightness. Here are the results:

Previously, Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max also outshined its competitor Galaxy S22 Ultra’s battery performance. The former hit 19 hours and 5 minutes of battery life against the latter’s 13 hours and 17 minutes which suggests that high-end iPhone models are more power efficient than Samsung’s Galaxy S flagship phones.
