Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.3 beta 3 to developers, pushing the next maintenance update closer to public availability. The new beta arrives a little over a week after beta 2 and is being tested alongside iOS 26.3 beta 3 and iPadOS 26.3 beta 3, which were also seeded to developers this week.
This build is backed by the macOS 26.2 SDK, included with Xcode 26.2 and available through the Mac App Store. Apple says the SDK allows developers to test their apps against the latest APIs while preparing for macOS Tahoe 26.3. According to the official release notes, there are no new documented changes in macOS Tahoe 26.3 beta 3, reinforcing that this update is focused on stability, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
So far, macOS Tahoe 26.3 has been a quiet release cycle. No new features were identified in the first two betas, and beta 3 continues that pattern. Unlike iOS 26.3, which introduced changes such as improved device transfer tools and regional system options, the macOS update appears to be largely about refining existing behavior rather than adding visible functionality.
Developers with a registered Apple Developer account can download macOS Tahoe 26.3 beta 3 by opening System Settings, selecting General, and then Software Update, with beta updates enabled. The current build number for this release is 25D5112c, which developers can use to confirm they are running the latest beta.
Based on Appleās typical release timeline for minor macOS updates, macOS Tahoe 26.3 is expected to roll out to the public by the end of January. With no new changes introduced in beta 3, this build suggests Apple is nearing a final release unless additional fixes surface in a follow-up beta.
