Apple has released watchOS 26.1 beta 2, tvOS 26.1 beta 2, and visionOS 26.1 beta 2 to developers. The builds are available via the Apple Developer Center and can be installed on supported devices using the appropriate developer profiles. This round follows the initial 26.1 betas and continues Apple’s regular platform testing cycle across Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Vision Pro.
Apple has not announced user-facing changes for these beta updates. As with most point releases, developer builds focus on validation, compatibility, and stability rather than introducing headline features. Developers should install the updates on test devices to check app behavior, performance, and any SDK-level adjustments ahead of the eventual public versions.
For Apple Watch, developers can install watchOS 26.1 beta 2 from the Watch app on iPhone by going to General > Software Update after enabling the developer beta profile. Today’s beta does not claim additional features beyond routine fixes and refinements, so testing should prioritize app stability, complications, and background tasks.
On Apple TV, developers can update eligible models to tvOS 26.1 beta 2 through Settings > System > Software Updates after signing in with a developer account, or by using the developer tools workflow. Apple typically does not publish granular feature lists for tvOS point releases, and there are no confirmed user-facing changes in this build.
For Vision Pro, visionOS 26.1 beta 2 can be installed on a device configured with the developer beta. Apple continues to iterate on the platform and its SDK, but has not detailed new end-user features for this specific beta.
Before updating to any of the new beta updates, make sure you create a backup so that you can restore in case of any data loss.
Along with the aforementioned beta builds, Apple has also released the second developer beta updates for iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS 26.1. The public beta releases for these operating systems should be available later this week.
