iPhone 5/iOS 6 Jailbreak Might Be Coming Soon As Per Developer’s Tweets

It’s been a while since the iPhone 5 was released but users haven’t been able to get their hands on a jailbreak solution so far. If you’re one of those users, it turns out that your luck is about change, with no ETA available of course. Popular jailbreak community developers Pod2g and Planetbeing were caught in the wild ( on Twitter ) discussing their progress on a jailbreak solution.

According to their tweets, Planetbeing spent some time yesterday with Pod2g to discover 2 new vulnerabilities in 1 day. That’s a lot if you consider how difficult it is to find them. Though the issue is that they’re still missing ‘initial code execution’ for a public jailbreak. In case you’re not technically sound, there are a few parts to providing a jailbreak solution. Once the vulnerabilities have been found, the next part is to find a way to package them for public usage.

IPhone 5 Jailbreak

Note that Planetbeing already has a jailbroken iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0 (pictured above) so it seems like the only remaining bit is just the initial code execution, if we are to go by their tweets.

We’ll keep you covered on any new updates on the iOS 6 and iPhone 5 jailbreak front. We’ve got our fingers crossed for some good news soon.
