Apple has unveiled a new limited edition accessory called iPhone Pocket, created in collaboration with Japan’s ISSEY MIYAKE Design Studio. The knitted pouch is a wearable sleeve designed for carrying an iPhone, AirPods, or other small items, blending Apple’s minimalist design language with Miyake’s signature textile craftsmanship.
Made using a 3D-knitted construction, the iPhone Pocket is crafted from a single continuous thread that stretches to fit the device while maintaining its shape. The material’s ribbed structure allows users to partially see the iPhone through the knit. It can be worn as a cross-body bag, slung over the wrist, or attached to a handbag.
The collaboration reflects both brands’ shared design values. “Apple and ISSEY MIYAKE share a design approach that celebrates craftsmanship, simplicity, and delight,” said Molly Anderson, Apple’s vice president of Industrial Design. The partnership also serves as a subtle nod to the late Issey Miyake, who famously designed Steve Jobs’ black turtleneck.
The iPhone Pocket comes in two versions. The short strap model costs $149.95 and is available in Lemon, Mandarin, Purple, Pink, Peacock, Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black. The long strap version, designed to be worn cross-body, costs $229.95 and comes in Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black. Both sizes fit every iPhone model from the iPhone 8 onward, along with all AirPods models.
Availability
The iPhone Pocket will be available starting November 14, 2025, from Apple’s online store and select flagship retail locations in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan, Greater China, Singapore, and South Korea.
In-store availability will be limited to ten global Apple Stores, including: Apple SoHo (New York), Apple Regent Street (London), Apple Ginza (Tokyo), Apple Jing’an (Shanghai), Apple Piazza Liberty (Milan), Apple Marche Saint-Germain (Paris), Apple Orchard Road (Singapore), Apple Myeongdong (Seoul), Apple Canton Road (Hong Kong), and Apple Xinyi A13 (Taipei).
This release also comes as Apple continues to experiment with wearable accessories following this year’s iPhone Crossbody Strap. While the idea of a $230 knitted iPhone “sock” has already sparked debate online, the iPhone Pocket blends tech and fashion in a way few accessories manage to. It’s a collector’s piece aimed squarely at those who appreciate Apple’s design heritage — and don’t mind paying for it.
