The redesigned AirPods 3 were announced in October 2021 with the H1 chip, Adaptive EQ, Spatial Audio support, resistance to sweat and water, and more. The AirPods 3 also offer support for Dolby Atmos and longer battery life.

As for the new AirPods Pro, they offer an improved listening experience thanks to the on-device processing enabled by the H2 chip. The stems of the AirPods Pro 2 also offer Touch control. With a light swipe up or down on the stem, users can quickly adjust the volume and control media playback.

Apple has also redesigned the case of the AirPods Pro with the debut of the second generation. The new case is sweat and water-resistant. It also includes a lanyard loop so users do not have to purchase an extra case if they want to attach the case to something.

AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 3 – Which should you buy?

As for which AirPods are better for you, it depends on your preference. Both are solid options within Apple’s ecosystem. However, if an improved audio experience and noise cancellation are important for you, splurge and go with the AirPods Pro as they also offer touch control and a redesigned case.

On the other hand, if you want to save some money or if you want to upgrade from the first or second-generation AirPods, the AirPods 3 offer an incredible value at their price point.
