Lyrics for Apple Music web player in beta testing

Apple is working on making some big changes to Apple Music for web. The tech giant today updated the website with beta support for viewing time-synced lyrics on the web.

Apple added real-time lyrics to Apple Music with the launch of iOS 13 in 2019. When lyrics are displayed on a device, Apple music will highlight the line that is currently played in white. The feature also allows users to skip to any part of a song by tapping on a lyric.

Apple has added live lyrics to beta.music.apple.com, for songs. The feature is similar to the time-synced lyrics in Apple Music on iPhone, iPad, and Mac which allows users to follow along as they listen to songs with perfectly timed lyrics. The interface looks similar to how time-synced lyrics appear in the Apple Music app on Apple TV.

As of right now, the feature is being tested on the beta web version of Apple Music. Apple typically tests features on the beta version of the Apple Music website before rolling them out on the regular Apple Music website. Apple will likely roll out live lyrics to all users in the coming weeks.
