Apple releases teaser for new “Behind the Mac:Skywalker Sound” film, premiering on May 4

Apple has released a teaser of the upcoming “Behind the Mac” film featuring Skywalker Sound scheduled to premiere on May 4, 2022. The new film will showcase the creative process involved in recording various sound effects for the iconic Star Wars franchise on Macs.

“Behind the Mac” is one of Apple’s social media marketing campaigns for Macs. It highlights how various people including famous artists use their Macs to compose songs/melodies, edit movies, add audio/visual effects, and more. The latest edition of the campaign will focus on sounds created for Star Wars.

On May the 4th, go behind the Mac at Skywalker Sound to meet the artists who make the sounds of a galaxy far, far away.

Debuting on May 4, the new movie “Behind the Mac: Skywalker Sound” features different sound artists from Skywalker Sound, the sound effects division of Lucasfilm known for the Star Wars franchise, and many other high-profile movies.

And ahead of the “Behind the Mac: Skywalker Sound” release on Apple’s official YouTube channel, its teaser gives the audience a glimpse of the different fun techniques, instruments, and others used in producing the signature iconic sounds like lightsaber humming, Chewbacca roaring, and Darth Vader breathing of the blockbuster franchise Star War.

Sound specialist, Al Nelson said that even with the eyes closed, the audience can identify the movie or a specific part of a movie just by hearing sounds.
