New $349 Hermès Tricot band redefines luxury for Apple Watch

Apple and Hermès have once again teamed up to redefine luxury wearables with the release of the new knitted “Tricot” Apple Watch band. This latest addition to the Hermès collection combines timeless elegance with modern functionality, offering Apple Watch users a unique blend of style and comfort.

Waterproof Hermès Tricot band debuts for Apple Watch

The 1930s Hermès gloves, which were originally made for driving, sailing, and golfing, served as the inspiration for the design of the Hermès Tricot Single Tour band. From Apple:

Patterned on 1930s-era Hermès gloves created for driving, sailing, and golf, the Tricot band takes what was old and makes it new again. The continuous textile knit comfortably hugs the wrist, imparting both a freedom of movement and a sense of élan.

The Apple Watch Hermès Tricot Single Tour band is made of polyamide yarn, as opposed to the usual silk used in Hermès Tricot accessories. This material choice not only ensures durability but also makes the band waterproof, allowing users to wear it during swimming sessions—a feature shared with other non-leather Apple Watch Hermès bands.

The Tricot Single Tour band, available in four fashionable color options (Bleu Jean, Jaune de Naples, Orange, and Beige de Weimar), perfectly matches the design of Apple Watch models in sizes 38mm, 40mm, and 41mm. With its debut, the single and double tour Apple Watch Hermès Bridon bands are replaced, suggesting a move in the direction of this cutting-edge knitted design within the Hermès collection.

In addition to the Tricot Single Tour band, Apple also unveiled a vibrant array of springtime colors for both Apple Watch and iPhone accessories. The Spring 2024 lineup features a total of 11 new Apple Bands and 13 new Hermès bands, catering to diverse tastes and preferences.

The new line of Apple products includes colorful Sport Loops and Sport Bands as well as options like the $99 Braided Solo Loop bands. Meanwhile, fans of Hermès can splurge on opulent choices like the $349 Toile H Single Tour and Twill Jump Single Tour bands.

There is something for everyone in the Spring 2024 lineup, whether you are looking to upgrade your style with a hint of Hermès craftsmanship or refresh your Apple Watch with a pop of color. With the introduction of the Tricot Single Tour band, Apple and Hermès continue to push the boundaries of wearable technology, seamlessly blending fashion and function for the modern consumer.
