Apple’s Beats brand is refreshing its popular Beats Pill speaker lineup just in time for summer with the launch of two vibrant new color options: Navy Blue and Blush Pink. The $149.99 Beats Pill in Navy Blue is available exclusively at Walmart, while the Blush Pink variant can be found only at Target in the United States. These new colors join the existing Matte Black, Statement Red, and Champagne Gold shades.
Since its revival last year, the Beats Pill has regained its status as one of the most popular Bluetooth speakers on the market. Offering a sleek, portable design and significant upgrades over previous models, the latest Beats Pill features up to 24 hours of battery life, IP67 dust and water resistance, and USB-C connectivity for both audio playback and device charging.
Thanks to a redesigned speaker system with a bespoke racetrack woofer and a newly engineered tweeter, the Beats Pill delivers deeper, fuller bass, crisp highs, and rich midrange tones, even at high volumes. Whether it’s powering the soundtrack to a beach trip or setting the vibe for an evening hangout, the Beats Pill brings reliable, room-filling sound wherever you take it.
Apple has also introduced some exciting companion features with the updated Beats Pill. Users can pair two speakers together for an amplified output or true stereo sound using Amplify Mode and Stereo Mode. Instant one-touch pairing and automatic device syncing make it effortless to connect the speaker to Apple or Android devices, and integration with Apple’s Find My and Google’s Find My Device ensures peace of mind if the speaker is misplaced. Additionally, the Beats Pill supports high-resolution lossless audio via USB-C, takes phone calls directly, and enables easy voice assistant activation with just a tap.
The launch of the new Navy Blue and Blush Pink colors is accompanied by a fun marketing campaign called “Pill People,” featuring animated shorts starring WNBA star Angel Reese and former F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo. Each athlete is represented by a custom animated Pill character — Angel’s pink Pill Person is marked by her signature lashes and fierce competitive spirit, while Daniel’s blue Pill Person showcases his playful charisma, including his iconic shoey celebration. These creative shorts bring the fresh summer energy of the new Beats Pill colors to life and underline the brand’s connection to sports, music, and pop culture.
The exclusive retailer strategy continues into international markets, as the Blush Pink Beats Pill will be coming to Walmart Canada and John Lewis in the UK later this summer, while the Navy Blue model appears to remain a U.S. exclusive.
Despite these exclusivity arrangements, the pricing remains consistent across the lineup at $149.99. Compared to the discontinued Beats Pill+ from 2015, which launched at $229.95, the new Beats Pill offers not only a more attractive price point but also a host of modern upgrades that make it a compelling choice for today’s consumers.
