Remedy Entertainment has officially announced that its acclaimed action-adventure game Control: Ultimate Edition will be launching on Apple platforms in early 2026. The announcement confirms that players will soon be able to explore the mysterious Oldest House on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro alongside Mac, where it has been available since 2024.
According to Remedy’s post on X, Control will fully support both game controllers and touch controls, allowing players to experience its supernatural combat and reality-bending environments in multiple ways. The studio highlighted that Apple’s ecosystem will provide a seamless experience across devices, letting players tap into the game’s cinematic visuals and dynamic gameplay wherever they are.
Originally released in 2019 for PC and consoles, Control received critical acclaim for its atmospheric storytelling, stunning visuals, and physics-driven gameplay. The Ultimate Edition includes all expansions, such as The Foundation and AWE, and has been widely praised for its enhanced performance on next-gen systems. Bringing the title to Apple’s platforms marks a significant step in Apple’s growing push into premium gaming, following recent arrivals like Resident Evil 4 Remake, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, and more.
The announcement also mentions support for Apple Vision Pro, suggesting the game will take advantage of Apple’s spatial computing capabilities for an immersive experience. While Remedy has not shared technical details yet, it’s likely that the release will leverage MetalFX and Apple Silicon optimization to deliver console-quality visuals on devices like the iPhone 17 Pro, iPad Pro, and M-series Macs.
Control: Ultimate Edition is expected to be available through the App Store in early 2026. More details on pricing, performance targets, and supported models will likely be revealed closer to launch.
This move further strengthens Apple’s gaming ambitions, as more major titles continue to be ported natively for iPhone, iPad, and Mac with high-end features like ray tracing, HDR, and MetalFX upscaling support.
