Crunchyroll is now available as an Apple TV Channel, giving users a simpler way to subscribe and watch anime directly inside the Apple TV app. The rollout covers the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, and brings one of the largest anime libraries into Apple’s built-in streaming hub.

This update focuses on convenience. Instead of installing the Crunchyroll app or managing a separate account, users can subscribe using their Apple ID and start watching instantly within the Apple TV app. Everything from billing to playback is handled by Apple, which keeps the experience consistent across devices.
Crunchyroll’s catalog is fully available through the Apple TV Channel, including over 50,000 episodes and a wide range of simulcast anime from Japan. That includes major titles and ongoing seasonal releases, making it a complete replacement for the standalone app for new subscribers.
The service offers a 7 day free trial, followed by a $9.99 per month subscription. It is important to note that this version is separate from existing Crunchyroll memberships, so current subscribers cannot link their accounts to the Apple TV Channel.
Apple TV Channels are designed to reduce friction when managing multiple streaming services. Subscriptions are billed through Apple, content plays داخل the Apple TV app, and features like offline downloads and Family Sharing support up to six users. This setup removes the need to jump between apps while keeping everything in one place.
Crunchyroll’s addition is significant because Apple has not added many major new Channels partners in recent years. Existing options include services like Starz, Paramount+, and AMC+, but growth has been relatively slow since the feature first launched.
The launch also comes shortly after Crunchyroll increased its subscription pricing earlier this year. Despite that, expanding to Apple TV Channels gives the platform another distribution channel and could help it reach more users ahead of new anime releases.
