Meta has brought its Muse AI agent to iPad. The same update adds a batch of new connectors aimed at small business owners who want help with marketing, client pitches and product pages.
Muse from Meta is a free download on the App Store, with in-app purchases. Meta launched the app on iPhone in early September, and it has since topped the US chart for free iPhone apps. A native Mac app followed later in the month.
Muse for iPad Connects to Asana, Canva, Figma, QuickBooks and Other Business Apps
Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent for email, reservations, budgets and deals, and it checks with the user before it acts. The iPad update widens the list of apps it can reach.
The new connectors fall into two groups.
- Business tools include Asana, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Klaviyo, Zoom and Meta ad accounts.
- Everyday task apps include Granola, Notion and others.
Meta says a person can hand Muse a business goal and let it work toward it. Examples include planning marketing content, building client pitches and spinning up new product pages. Muse asks for approval along the way.
Approval is built into the iPhone app as well. The App Store listing says nothing gets spent, sent or shared without the user’s approval, and that Muse keeps working after the app is closed. It also warns that Muse may be inaccurate or take unexpected actions, so users are told to check in and step in when needed.
Muse Now Covers iPhone, Mac and iPad Less Than a Month After Launch
Muse debuted on iPhone, Android and the web. The Mac app added access to Mail, Messages, Calendar, Notes and local files, with permissions managed in macOS Settings. That app is limited to the United States and asks for confirmation before sensitive actions like deleting a file or sending a message. iPad is the third Apple platform in the lineup.
Meta has also unveiled the Muse Charm, a keychain device built around the agent. Rival agents are arriving too, including OpenAI’s Dots, which also keeps working in the background.
Muse passed 2.5 million downloads in its first two weeks. The App Store listing currently shows a 4.9 rating from 163K ratings and a #1 spot on the Productivity top free chart.
