The A17 Pro first debuted in iPhone 15 Pro models and has proven capable of console-level graphics in AAA games, making it well suited for both streaming and high-performance gaming on a larger screen.
As per MacRumors, the device is also rumored to include Apple-designed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips. This change could improve wireless reliability, reduce latency, and enhance smart home integration. With Apple Intelligence support, the upgraded Apple TV could bring smarter Siri interactions, more accurate voice searches, and personalized content recommendations directly to the living room. These enhancements build on Apple’s ongoing work to create a ChatGPT-like answer engine for Siri that delivers more natural, context-aware responses.
The timing of its release is not confirmed, but industry expectations point to an announcement in the fall, possibly alongside the iPhone 17 lineup. Apple does not refresh the Apple TV on a strict yearly schedule, but the last significant update was in 2022, making 2025 an ideal year for a new model.
