Apple has released iOS 26.5.2 and iPadOS 26.5.2 for all compatible iPhone and iPad models. These bring important security and bug fixes. You can download the iOS 26.5.2 and iPadOS 26.5.2 firmware files directly form Apple’s servers so they can be installed using either Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows.

Why should you download these IPSW files when Apple provides a simple way to update from Settings > General > Software Update? These firmware files are for those users who either have slow unstable internet connections and need to download the file directly since they have huge file sizes, or for those who want to perform a clean restore, perhaps for a device stuck in DFU mode. They can also be handy for users who want to downgrade their device, while the iOS version is still being signed by Apple.
If any of the above use cases apply to you, you can download the firmware files from the below direct links from Apple’s servers. Just make sure you select the right file for your exact device model.
