Siri AI Arrives on Apple Watch With watchOS 27 Beta 3

Apple has enabled Siri AI on the Apple Watch with watchOS 27 Beta 3, activating one of the biggest features it announced alongside watchOS 27 at WWDC 2026. Although Apple previewed the upgraded Siri experience last month, it wasn’t available in the first two developer betas. With Beta 3, developers can finally begin testing the new Apple Intelligence-powered assistant on the Apple Watch.

The update introduces a dedicated Siri app and brings a more capable assistant to the wrist. While Siri AI runs through a nearby Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone rather than directly on the Apple Watch, it delivers a more seamless experience with smarter responses and the ability to continue conversations across Apple’s ecosystem.

Pressing the Digital Crown now places the Siri app at the center of the Dynamic App Grid, making it easy to launch the assistant. Users can ask more natural questions, complete requests, and interact with Siri in a way that closely matches the experience on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Apple says Siri AI on Apple Watch depends on a nearby Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone for processing. The Apple Watch acts as the interface, while the connected iPhone handles the AI workloads in the background. This approach allows Apple to bring advanced Siri capabilities to the watch without requiring the hardware to run large language models locally.

Another notable improvement is conversation syncing. Interactions started in the Siri app on Apple Watch automatically sync across the Siri app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, allowing users to continue conversations from another device without losing context.

The arrival of Siri AI is one of the most significant additions in watchOS 27 Beta 3 and represents a major upgrade for Apple Watch users. While the feature is currently limited to developers, it is expected to become available with the public beta later this month before watchOS 27 launches this fall.
