Apple is bringing AppleCare One to Australia, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom on August 4, 2026, marking the service’s first expansion beyond North America since its U.S. Launch in July 2025. Alongside the rollout, AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss is expanding to cover iPad and Apple Watch in all four countries, coverage that was previously limited to iPhone.
What’s included and what it costs
AppleCare One is a single monthly subscription that covers up to three devices, with additional devices available at an extra monthly fee. Theft and Loss protection on iPad and Apple Watch covers up to two incidents per year, plus battery replacement, priority support, and unlimited accidental damage repairs. Pricing across each new market:
- United Kingdom: £16.99/month for up to three devices; £4.99/month per additional device
- Australia: $29.99 AUD/month for up to three devices; $8.99 AUD/month per additional device
- Germany: €20.99/month for up to three devices; €5.99/month per additional device
France is also part of the August 4 rollout, though Apple has not published a dedicated newsroom post with pricing details for that market at time of writing.
The bundling savings, by market
UK customers protecting an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch together under AppleCare One save up to £11.48 per month compared to maintaining three separate AppleCare+ plans, which works out to £137.76 annually. Australian users save up to $18.48 AUD per month under the same scenario, and German customers save up to €13.48 per month.
Device flexibility that AppleCare+ never had
One aspect of AppleCare One that gets less attention than the price is how it handles the device roster. Eligible devices up to four years old can be enrolled provided they are in good condition, so this is not a new-purchase-only subscription. When you trade in a covered device through Apple, it drops off the plan automatically and can be replaced with whatever you are buying next. Existing AppleCare+ subscribers in these markets can transition directly from their iPhone, iPad, or Mac without starting from scratch.
