A working PushFix (2.0) now available for hacktivated iPhones

image A lot of people have been having issues with Push notifications not working on their hacktivated iPhones (2G, 3G, 3G S). There was a fix available for this issue called PushFix available in Cydia, but it stopped working after a while. But now version 2.0 of PushFix is available and it actually works. How the developer gets it to work is by creating unique certificates for each device which results in Push notifications working for everyone unlike in PushFix 1.0 where a few working certificates were being used by many people. This ended in wrong push alerts or in most cases, none at all.

To get PushFix 2.0:

  1. You need to provide your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) to the developer which can be found by typing in *#06# using the keypad on your iPhone.
  2. Enter the IMEI in the purchase page and shell out $5.99, and within a minute your certificate should be ready.
  3. After that you can install the package from Cydia by adding the cydia.pushfix.info repository.

Keep in mind, do not install push notifications toggle for SBSettings, because if you do, push notifications will stop working and you’ll have to restore your phone to make them work again.

In case you’re wondering, PushFix 2.0 does work.
