Apple TV+ has ordered a new travel series “The Reluctant Traveler” series hosted by Emmy Award winner Eugene Levy. The star of the popular “Schitt’s Creek” show, Mr. Levy and David Brindley will executive produce and Twofour will produce the new globe-trotting travel series.
Apple TV+ offers a variety of original content: movies, documentaries, shows, kids titles, and more across Apple devices, select smart TV sets, and consoles. Recently, American leading telecommunication corporation, Comcast announced a deal to offer Apple TV+ on its platforms. That means in the future, the video streaming service will be available on Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex, and other platforms.
Apple TV+ will get to explore hotels, people, and culture from around the with with “The Reluctant Traveler” series by Eugene Levy
As per the announcement, the new travel series will include Levy’s journey to new places around the world to acquaint the audience with an array of hotels, cultures, and more. As the world returns to normal post-COVID-19 lockdowns and travel restrictions, Levy believes that the new show will be like no other which will also enrich his travel experience.
“The Reluctant Traveler” will see Levy visit some of the world’s most remarkable hotels, as well as explore the people, places and cultures that surround them. Self-confessedly not your average travel show host — he’s not usually adventurous or well-versed in globe-trotting — he’s agreed the time is right for him to broaden his horizons. Levy will be packing his suitcase with some trepidation but hoping his experiences might lead to a whole new chapter in his life — that’s as long as he doesn’t have to battle his motion sickness, and still gets dinner at 7.
However, a release time of the new “The Reluctant Traveler” series is not shared at the moment. It will join a growing library of acclaimed and award-winning docuseries and documentaries on Apple TV+, like Emmy Award-winning “Boys State”, acclaimed documentary “The Velvet Underground,” from director Todd Haynes, Critics Choice Award-winning and Emmy and Grammy Award-nominated “Beastie Boys Story”, the global hit documentary “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry” and others.
