As expected, blackra1n RC2, the updated version with bug fixes of the latest iPhone OS 3.1.2 jailbreak tool by George Hotz has been released. Along with fixing jailbreak issues, it also brings support for a tethered jailbreak for iPod Touch 8GB and new iPhone 3GS’es. Note: tethered jailbreak means that you’ll have to connect your device to your Mac or PC to start again after a reboot with jailbreak. You must also have OS 3.1.2 on your iPhone or iPod Touch to jailbreak using blackra1n RC2.

Important: iPhone OS 3.1.3 has been released for the iPhone and iPod Touch. We’ve got a new guide up on how to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 and iPod Touch 3.1.3 with redsn0w 0.9.4. once i jailbroke my ipod touch 2g on 3.1.2 firmware. I was ubable to download any apps from the appstore, and anything that i downloaded from cydia, rock, and icy did work as well. For example winterboard doesnt work, i select certain things and doesnt work, etc. why is this and what should i do?

successfully jailbroken ipod touch 3g 3.1.2 using blackra1n@RC2 …the pod is tethered jailbroken.
Now I want to install cracked games and apps .ipa files using data cable, I downloaded applesync from cydia for the same…but :( it requires a IPOD RESTART after installation…which I cannot do… :)
Can anybody tell me any other method using which I can install .ipa files using USB (data cable)..HELP!
yes it should work wid IPT 3g 32GB version too, i jailbreaked my IPT 3g 8GB yesterday only..1minute process…easy….but tethered

when you say it doesn't work do you mean it completly turns off and it doesn't turn back on or something else?
I have a question and I am hoping someone knows the answer. My friend gave me his iphone and i put my sim card in and i restored it so it erased everything and i jailbroke it and everything works great but for some reason my data plan isnt working at all. I have a unlimited data plan though. Do I need to go to at&t to get it working and are they going to do anything if i have cydia or blackra1n on it? thanks

I have a 3g ipod touch 32 gig. Used blaackra1n to jailbreak it and its been 15 min and i have a message in itunes that says the ipod needs to be restored. the blackra1n window says done, wait for reboot and the ipod has the itunes logo and usb with an arrow.
Please help!!
Ok so I ran blackra1n and clicked make it rain and then this message came up saying that the ipod is entering recovery mode…and now its been sitting there for the past 15 minutes….and I already restored it twice and re-ran the program but it keeps stopping there. What can I do?

Hello,I had the same Problem i fixed by using my Bro’s Computer, it’s 10x better than mine xD. it worked i dunno if it depends on computer hardware or not, u should maybe try on different computer =D
This was the easiest jailbreak ever… I have been using redsn0w, which has been tricky to set up but when I tried Blackra… dang this is the best. I'm still syncing my apps I hope they work.
Dude u use blackrain to jailbreak then as it turns to reboot it will need to be restored! but Hang on don PLuck out the WIre, Quit ur BlackRa1n App and REstart it and make it rain again! then wait till it reboot agiain then it will work.. i got 3G it works for me.. just keep ur wires connected
