New “Gibbon: Beyond the Trees” is coming to Apple Arcade on February 25, 2022

A new ecological adventure game “Gibbon: Beyond the Trees” by developer Broken Rules is coming to Apple Arcade on February 25, 2022. Broken Rules has won Apple Design Award twice for “Old Man’s Journey” and “ELOH” which are also based on adventures of a lost family of gibbons finding themselves in a dangerous world.

The upcoming “Gibbon: Beyond the Trees” game delivers an eco-friendly message in form of gibbons’ adventures in a world which is drastically altered by human activities like deforestation, poaching, and climate changes. In 2D visual designs, players will get to embark on challenges through different environments to take the lost gibbons to safety. The release notes read:

Experience free-flowing dynamic movement based on brachiation, the way real gibbons swing through the trees

Master acrobatic moves, including launching from another gibbon’s hands in mid air

A touching adventure of a family of gibbons trying to survive amid an encroaching human threat.
