[How To] Fix UISettings On iOS 5 Beta 2

For those who haven’t yet had the privilege to test iOS 5 developers beta on their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and then jailbreak it, UISettings is among the first jailbreak tweaks developed exclusively for iOS 5. It is integrated inside the Notification Center as a widget and does what SBSettings does for iOS 4 and below. However, with iOS 5 beta 2 update, the tweak seems to have stopped working and it just won’t show up after installation from Cydia. Step 1:

Download this package and unzip it to your desktop.

Step 2:

Install UISettings on your jailbroken iOS 5 beta 2 device from cydia following instructions posted here.

Step 3:

Once installed, you need to SSH into your device and navigate to the following directory:

Step 4:

Delete the “UISettingsBar.bundle” folder and replace it with the one you have download in Step 1.

Step 5:

Reboot with redsn0w. Enjoy!
