iBooks 2 and iTunes U App for iPad Contains Retina Display Image Files–Confirms Belief for a Retina Display iPad 3

Developers have been tinkering around with the iBooks 2 and iTunes U apps for iPad and have struck further proof that the iPad 3 will ship with a retina display. Apparently, they both contain 2x images which means they are twice the resolution of a normal iPad display. Check out visual proof after the jump:
