Apple has released iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6 beta 4 to developers. The update is available now over-the-air for iPhones and iPads which are enrolled in the developer beta program, as well as from the Apple Developer Center.

Apple had released iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6 beta 3 to developers exactly one week ago, followed by the public beta. The weekly beta releases indicate that Apple will likely roll-out the final release very soon.
As expected of a typical x.6 release, there are almost no new features in this update, for both iPhone or iPad. This is a simple maintenance release and will feature under-the-hood bug fixes and security updates. Just one small enhancement was discovered by users which includes changes to the blocked contact limits. The code indicates that users will receive a warning when they exceed the maximum number of blocked contacts.
There were some security fixes that were supposed to be a party of iOS 26.6, however, Apple released them earlier as part of iOS 26.5.2 to ensure they reach users earlier.
If you have the previous developer beta release installed, simply go to Settings > General > Software Update on your device to download and install the new beta. Make sure that you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection and have at least 50% battery charge.
Other operating systems such as macOS Tahoe 26.6, watchOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, and visionOS 26.6 also received beta 4 updates today.
Apple is also currently testing iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 developer betas, and released the third beta today for registered devices. The public beta is expected to release this month, which will allow all users to test new features including the new personalized Siri AI, Image Cleanup & Reframing, Liquid Glass design improvements, and a lot of quality of life improvements across the operating system and first-party apps such as Safari, Wallet, Passwords, Mail, Messages, and more.
