Apple’s new iPhone Duo foldable supports MagSafe wireless charging at up to 25W, confirming that the tech giant’s first foldable iPhone includes a magnetic charging system.
The specification also lists support for 25W Qi2 wireless charging with compatible third-party accessories. That puts the iPhone Duo on the same maximum MagSafe charging rate as the iPhone 18 Pro models.
iPhone Duo Gets 25W MagSafe
The iPhone Duo includes a magnetic charging array built into the device, allowing it to attach to MagSafe chargers and accessories. Apple lists wireless charging at up to 25W through MagSafe.
The foldable also supports Qi2 charging at up to 25W when using compatible third-party chargers and accessories.
The confirmation is notable because earlier reports were unclear about whether Apple would be able to fit MagSafe into the foldable design.
Wired Charging Is Faster
The iPhone Duo can charge from 0 to 50% in around 20 minutes using wired charging. That is slightly slower than the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which can reach 50% in about 15 minutes.
For wireless charging, however, the iPhone Duo matches the 25W MagSafe limit offered by Apple’s latest Pro models.
iPhone Duo Price And Release Date
Apple will begin taking iPhone Duo preorders on October 16, with the device launching on October 23.
The foldable iPhone starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model, making it Apple’s most expensive iPhone yet.
The combination of a foldable design, 25W MagSafe charging, and 25W Qi2 support gives the iPhone Duo access to the same magnetic charging ecosystem as Apple’s standard iPhone lineup while adding a new form factor.
