Apple has released two new ads for their Shot on iPhone series, which feature animal videos. Shot on iPhone is Apple’s popular campaign which features photos and videos taken using the latest iPhone models.
The new ads show a squirrel eating a peanut and an ant busy at work. The first video by Linda H. is shot in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and the featured song is “Season 2 (Episode 3)” by Glass Animals.
The second video is by Tim W., shot in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and the song is “Work” by Charlotte Day Wilson.
Shot on iPhone campaign always features content shot by users. TechCrunch posted a good article on how you can submit your content for the campaign and increase its chances of being selected by Apple. If selected, your photo can get featured in Apple’s online ads as well as billboards.
The most important points to consider if you want to get your photo or video in the campaign are:
- Always use the latest iPhone model. Photos taken using older iPhones are rejected.
- Tag photos on Instagram with #shotoniphone or #shotoniphone6s
- Keep original files and make sure that your contact information is available online
- Of course, it goes without saying, the photo or video should be beautiful
If your photo or video get selected, Apple can contact you via email. You would need to provide the original files as well, complete with the EXIF data so Apple can verify that it was actually taken from an iPhone.
